Canton Tower (IBA)

The design team wanted to offer the city a new form that would challenge the way typical TV towers were built. By twisting the top from the bottom floorplate, the tower was given a curvilinear profile that looks different from every angle. The team won the competition and commission. At completion in 2010, it was the world’s tallest TV tower at 2,000 feet.
