Detour, an arts and cultural event held within the Old Police (and prison) headquarters in Central Hong Kong, called for proposals to accommodate the month long event. In collaboration with Jason Carlow, Al developed an installation inspired by a creative replay on the history of the site coupled with the event’s celebration of contemporary design. Employing the metaphoric concept of the paper lantern, the artistic installation proposal emerged as a Finalist.
