Al worked with Information Based Architecture on the China government commissioned schematic design competition of the 612-meter Canton Tower in Guangzhou. The team won first prize, and the tower now stands proudly as the tallest TV tower in the world. It was the centerpiece of 2010 Asian games, and is recognized as a national monument.
